Kaleidoscope: Art from the Piramal Collection

IDENTITY • EXHIBITION DESIGN • ENVIRONMENT GRAPHICS • COMMUNICATIONS

Drawing connections between the works of diverse practices.

The varied selection of works in the Piramal Collection offer a unique opportunity for alternative interpretations of the works of noted Indian artists. Paintings take on multiple lives in the minds of viewers who relate to works in different ways depending on their experiences and cultural references. The curators wanted to open up these possibilities for visitors to the museum by presenting the exhibition in an accessible way.

Our task was to interpret the experience of the kaleidoscopic instrument for the exhibition identity. We created an exhibition scheme combining ambient environmental graphics, exhibition texts, labels and a playful use of colour through the space.

In addition to the exhibition itself, we designed all the exhibition's communications, including promotions and educational materials.
