A finely crafted publication on the legendary artist.

This sumptuous book was launched as part of an exhibition of the same name at the Piramal Museum of Art. An unprecendented event, the exhibition brought together the rare works from private collections, many of which have never been displayed together before.

Designed to be more than just a collection of works, the book contains a series of essays looking at the work of Raja Ravi Verma and his continuing contribution to India's visual culture. We developed a contemporary design language with a well crafted grid to bring it all together. A bright colour palette and subtle use of gold create a rich reading experience that makes the book a true collector's item.

 

Inspired by the incredible details of clothing and jewellery in Ravi Verma's works, we created a set of ornaments to embellish and frame the content on each page.
